Apocalypse Now
I'm gonna be straight with you
this is the end of the world
you either wake up or you don't
Apocalypse Now
Yeah, I totally ripped off this title from the Transplants song ‘Apocalypse Now’. I would recommend listening to it, but it language that the chatbox censor would frown upon. Well, either frown upon or spontaneously combust upon. Most likely it would be the latter.
But still, it sets a mood for any apocalyptic roleplay, which is what I’m getting to.
RANTRANTRANTRANT
Let’s get on with this before I bore you to death. (To late, I know. xD)
STARTPLOT
No one knows how the virus started, only that it spread like wild fire on a hot day, burning down thousands of people in days. This virus isn’t airborne, but it does have another way of spreading itself; a host. This host is basically the shell of a human, with its intelligence and movements controlled solely by the virus. A zombie, if you will, but most call them the Infected. These Infected do not have a high level of intelligence, and most move in hordes and groups in order to find a new host that they can spread the virus to. </br>
Society has collapsed, and people fled major cities, going into the countryside and taking back the hunting and gathering ways.
Small groups of survivors have popped up all over the country, but are usually destroyed by the Infected within a few months. One group, though, seems to have gotten the hang of zombie survival. (Hey, maybe they read Max Brooks’ Zombie Survival Guide) They call themselves the Resistance, and have constructed a stronghold in the side of a mountain, way up somewhere in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The Resistance, ever wanting to recreate the human society, send Scouts out to search for survivors.
Our characters will eventually get together and decided to go find the Resistance, and maybe run into a little fun on the way. Like limb harvesters, groups of cannibals, Infected hordes, ECT.
ENDPLOT
Wow, that plot really sucked.
But I figured that we would come up with stuff as we progressed further into the roleplay.
ZOMBIES
Zombies are not generally slow, but they do amble when in large groups.
The disease is transmitted by a bite, and only by a bite.
Animals seem to get edgy and/or hostile when zombies are around, but the disease does not affect them.
You kill a zombie by cutting off the head or by killing the brain.
SURVIVORS
Survivors do not all wield giant chainsaws.
Safety in numbers.
Younger people don’t really survive on their own very long, so if you do have someone around the age of 12, then pair them up with an older person. (Please keep the ages late teens/ young adults)
Interact with everybody. That’s right survivors; INTERACT.
RULES
Your choice of a character is pretty varied. You can be a survivor, a limb harvester (ugh), a zombie (though I wouldn’t recommend it), anything that the people run into.
The character limit- 2 to 4
Keep the violence to a PG13 level. Yes, yes, I know. This is a zombie roleplay, and there will be lots of violence, but please, we do NOT need you describing the details of how you kill someone and/or something.
Keep the romance to a PG13. Whatever. Just obey the rule.
If you read the rules, say ‘apocalypse please’.
No Godmodeling, Powerplaying, you know the drill.
If I forgot any rules, please tell me.
