They had grabbed the last of the cheap cereal out of the cabinet, and were promptly off to the skatepark. Scarlet arrived there quickly, not noticing Ari or Kyle, even though Tempest did. She got into her zone, skating almost as if she was one with her board. Pulling off her usual routine of complicated tricks, she set up for one that she had been working on. It was a difficult, but she had been landing it pretty well.
She pulled off the trick easily in midair, positioning herself for the landing. Apparently though, this trick didn't agree with her being tired, and she face planted into the bowl. Her arms dragged underneath her painfully, and she felt the scabs tear open like paper. Great. She was wearing a white shirt too. Just great.
Sitting up, she pulled her arms infront of her face to inspect. The blood was already collecting into the cloth, dying it red, "Shit..." she murmured under her breath, getting up to go sit underneath one of the trees on the edge of the skatepark. Wondering how the hell she was going to pull this off without seeming like a complete emo freak, she finally noticed Ari, who happened to be on the bench right next to her tree.

"Holy hell," Ari yawned. "I didn't think it was possible to be more tired than I was yesterday." He said loudly, to no one in particular. He got a few stray glances from some girls walking by, and he grinned at them, hoping his musings had scared them off.
He suddenly noticed Scarlet walking towards something behind him, her sleeves blossoming red on a white shirt. Oh, shit. Every person who cut's themselves nightmare; wearing a white shirt and then something like this happening. Ari, being the kind person he sometimes was (LOL) heaved himself up off the bench and walked over to where Scarlet was standing, looking utterly shocked.
"Hey, looks like you gotta problem there." Ari said in a teasing manner. He looked dubious, trying to decide what to do. They were attracting stares, so he shrugged his blue and black checkered flannel shirt off and handed it to Scarlet. "You could where that until you find yourself a new shirt. This left him just in a black tank top, and it was rather cold out, so he went to his backpack and started rummaging through it.

Her mind raced in a matter of seconds, her eyes just dwelling with a zoned out air all over her arms, the blood flowing up and painting a bloody abstract picture on her shirt. When Ari walked over, she snapped out of it, staring at him. He teased her a bit and shrugged off his shirt, handing it to her.
"Thanks..." She muttered it under her breath, blushing a bit at how she seemed like she couldn't handle herself at all. Putting on the shirt, she sighed at how baggy it was on her. It was HUGE compared to her slim figure, but she prefered shirts this way. Shirts a bit too large were just more comfortable then some figure fitting, tight shirt. Glancing over at Ari, who appeared to be rummaging through his bag, she walked over and stood next to him.
She stared into his backpack, which seemed to be pretty full. With a zoned out attire, she stared into space with held in his bag, when she caught a glimpse of something she probably wasn't supposed to see. A baggie with weed. Ah, so that's what he had meant when he said he took out his stress in bad ways.

"Ah-ha," He muttered, finally finding a t-shirt in the mess that was his and Kyle's 'survivor' bag. It basically had everything they needed in this bag; some food, clothes, money, and of course something that sure as hell generated a lot of money. He snagged a t-shirt, then zipped the pack shut, half glancing behind him to see Scarlet staring into his bag.
He shrugged the t-shirt on, then lifted the pack to his shoulder, standing in Kyle's direction. He caught the boys' eyes, then nodded, to show him that he knew that Ari was leaving for a bit. Ari turned towards Scarlet. "I've got some business to take care of." He said rather curtly, cutting off explaining from this subject.

"Okay. Bye." She answered simply. Of course, she perked up in her head with curiousity of what kind of buisness this was, but he didn't seem like he wanted to explain. She'd just have to find out on her own. He nodded at her and rode off on his bike, in a general direction of the street. Staring after him, until he disappeared around a corner, she yelled at Tempest that she had to go home to grab something.
Scarlet jumped onto her skateboard and headed after him, elusively. She may suck at handling herself mentally, but she could manage to spy on people pretty well. Stopping promptly at the corner he had turned around, she leaned forward, around the wall built next to the sidewalk. She scanned the area ahead for him, and saw him take another turn up ahead.
Scarlet hastily followed yet again, a smirk crossing her face at her spying.
Although, she almost felt bad for prying into his buisness. Well, curiousity killed the cat, as she so often found out.

Ari boarded off, turning a corner into an alley and coasting along. He dodged a fallen trashcan, then turned another corner, popping his earbuds in. He passed the mouth of another alley in which a police car sat, vacant, and smiled half-heartedly to himself. A cat ran in front of him suddenly, and he stopped abruptly, skidding to a stop.
"Dammit," He cursed, watching the cat fling itself up a wall, glanced back at him, and then vanish over it instantly. Ari paused, then did a 360, feeling the hairs on the back of his neck prick up. He couldn't imagine who would want to follow a kid into an alley, unless it was some creepy person...
He shrugged it off, scratching at the stubble on his chin. It could be Kyle or Tempest following him, or Scarlet, but he couldn't think why she would want too. He had made it clear he didn't want anything following him..
Ari looked around again, then decided to go on, finally coming to the run down house that was one of his 'friends' houses. He placed his board up against the chain link fence, then knocked on the door. A skinny man answered, and it was clear his wieght was due to drug use. "Are you alone?"

Scarlet barely made it out of his line of sight when he 360-ed in the alleyway. She had hid around the corner just in time, not breathing or moving at all, not even blinking. After he lost suspicion, she walked quickly after him, being careful to hide behind objects during intervals. She had ditched her skateboard a while back, and was now just going by foot.
Seeing Ari walk up to a house, Scarlet ran up a tree next to it while his back was turned, trying her best to keep it still. She managed to get up to the top and sit calmly, but nearly slipped and fell on her face, making the tree rustle like crazy. Her eyes widened and she tried to sit still in her new spot, hoping she wasn't seen.

As soon as the tree rustled, Ari knew it was Scarlet. He'd never seen Kyle climb any trees, and him and Tempest were both to short to reach the lowest branch on the tree anyway. He was pissed, but he flattened his anger and twisted it around so that instead he just sounded like a paranoid, lets-get-this-done-already dealer. "Nah, no one except those damn birds in the trees," Ari did a 360, trying to pull off the nervous man look, he even added in a shaky laugh.
The man held the door open, not saying anything. After a while he said, "....okay. How much do you have?" He asked, as Ari walked in the house with him. The place stank of weed, and sadly, he found himself loving the smell.
He unzipped his pack and brought out a small baggie of weed. "There's five ounces in here, and this stuff........it's chronic."
"Where the hell did you get this shit?!" The man said, excited. "This stuff sells from nearly three hundred dollars per ounce!"
"Keep it down, dumb shit." Ari said irritably. "And I know some guys. Let me tell you what, since your my most loyal customer, I'll give you a discount. Normal guys, you see, would have to pay fifteen hundred for this shit, but you," The man smiled, a missing toothed grin. "You can have this for one grand." Ari narrowed his eyes, staring at the man with a serious air about him. "Deal?"
"....deal." The man turned around in his cluttered house, and returned with a crowbar. He took the end and pried open a coolin vent on the floor, a wad of bills in his hand. "Here's the money, now leave."
Ari counted, nodded, and then exited the house. He walked a ways, to the mouth of the alley, and then turned around. "Scarlet, get your ass over here." His voice had a distinctly Ari-like calm to it, like a calm before the storm.

Scarlet had promptly hopped out of the tree, and ran to the nearest alleyway, slumping against the corner and let her heart slow, waiting for Ari, reluctantly. Her heart slowed, and a few minutes later, Ari came out. She was slumped in a darker corner, and when his speech directed at her, her breath stopped for a moment. God. He sounded calm, but he was so, so, soooo mad. She could tell.
Walking boldly out of her corner, she kept her chin up, staring him directly in the eye, "Yeah, what's up?"

"Wouldn't you like to know," He sneered, his voice nearly rattling with anger. Ari let his words flow out, no longer checking them. He hated nothing more than people up in his business, and he hadn't pinned Scarlet as a sneak, but then again he wasn't exactly the best judge of character. "I thought we were friends, but obviously not. Friends don't snoop in business that clearly has NOTHING to do with them."
He snagged his board up from the fence, "Well now you know. And let me say something, you tell Kyle, and I'll get you. I'll get Tempest." That was a low blow, but Ari was shocked at his invasion of privacy. He took it personally, and it was his trust being broken. Ari turned and skated off, not caring if Scarlet followed or not. He needed to cool off.

Scarlet's eyes widened, and she stood a moment as he skated a way. Before her brain could even comprehend her actions, she raced after Ari, running faster then the wind. She tackled him to the asphault, turning his head sideways and whispering quickly and effectively into his ear, "That boy is the only thing keeping me attached to this world, if you TOUCH him, I'll tie you down and torture your brother in front of your face. I've killed before, don't think because I hate myself for it that I won't hesitate to do it again. I'll kill everything you live for, burn it to the ground. Don't mess with my brother."
With the last words, she was up. She flashed around the corner into the alleyway, disappearing like wind. Scarlet went back to the skatepark, convinced Tempest they needed to leave, and went home. As soon as her face hit her pillow, she broke down.
It was only later that she realized that she was still wearing his shirt.

Ari was fitting his headphones in his ears, pissed about Scarlet, when something knocked him off his board and slammed him into the ground, his face scraped up against the asphalt. It was Scarlet, he could tell, when she started talking. "That boy is the only thing keeping me attached to this world,” He struggled, but for her skinny self, she was surprisingly strong. He blamed in on the adrenaline coursing through her caused by him threatening her brother. “If you TOUCH him, I'll tie you down and torture your brother in front of your face. I've killed before; don't think because I hate myself for it that I won't hesitate to do it again. I'll kill everything you live for, burn it to the ground. “
So, only Kyle then. He gritted his teeth, and she grabbed hold of his hair and jerked his head around so that she could whisper in his ear. "Don’t mess with my brother.”
Then suddenly she was gone, running down the alley, and Ari pulled himself off the pavement and skated on, his headphones tucked in his ears. He had scrapes on his face and neck from being rammed against the ground, plus the earlier damage from the car crash. He pulled himself together, telling himself to let it go, let it go, let it go, because he knew that if anyone had threatened his brother he would’ve beat them bloody, not just warned them.
Ari and Kyle skated home later, the former making a lame excuse for Tempest having to leave and for being oh-so-late and injured, while the latter frowned and wondered if he had lost another friend. They both tried to fall asleep, but Ari couldn’t, so he went outside and sat down on the couch in his yard, just thinking.

Scarlet fell face first into her pillow, choking on it at first. The cheap spring matress bounced a little under the new weight. She was such a scumbag, a murderous freak, a stupid annoying brat. Going out to the couch, as not to disturb Tempest, she grabbed the already bloodied scissors, going for the soft, vulnerable underside of her arms. Her blood blossomed onto her skin, and coated it in red.
Getting up, she went to the cabinet and grabbed something that she knew she had wasted her money in, a bottle of vodka. She downed a fifth and grabbed the scissors again, swaying a bit. Taking another swig, she giggled at the bloody picture spreading across her skin. Scarlet did nothing about what seemed to be the endless flow, taking a few more swigs and passing out on the couch.
------------------
Tempest woke up the next morning, the dull buzz of Scarlet's alarm clock persistently making noise in the background. Strange, she had usually turned that off by now. Getting up, he rubbed his eyes and got dressed, turning off her nearby alarm. Walking out into the living room, he wondered where she was. That is, until he turned the corner. Screaming like a little girl, he stared at the bloodied mess in front of him. Scarlet lay on the couch with dried and crusty blood trailing down her arm, and leading to a dark red spot on the couch. Both arms were coated with her own blood.
Tempest remained calm, knowing that he needed to do something. He did the only thing he could think to do, and boarded as quickly as he could down to Ari's house.

Ari had fallen asleep on the couch outside his house, arm hanging off the side and face pressed into the back of it. He’d fallen asleep after thinking the day’s events over, his mind lingering on Scarlet and the way she had spat venom at him. He had thought that they were becoming friends, but then she went and snooped, something he hated entirely.
So he awoke to bright sunlight, and as he blinked it out as his eyes became used to it, he also awoke to Tempest skidding into the lot on a skateboard, looking sick to his stomach. He stumbled over to Ari, who raised a quizzical brow at the kid’s ragged and unexpected appearance. “And what exactly brings you here?” Ari said, purposely inserting a large amount of the tone ‘fuck-off’ into his voice.
“I-It’s…..” Tempest struggled to breathe, his chest heaving in and out. “…Scarlet!!” He looked on the verge of hysteria. “…..blood everywhere! I-I-I didn’t know what to do…” Ari, having only known him for two days now, knew this kid was one tough cookie. So he knew something was wrong when the kid started crying, loud, shoulder shaking sobs.
Ari’s stomach dropped, and he ushered Tempest inside. “I’ll be back,” He said, and, because this was some serious shit, he snagged his moms car keys and jogged out to the car. He burned rubber out the drive way, fighting down his stupid feelings, and feeling like such an idiot for being a jackass to Scarlet about following him. It took a short amount of time for Ari to arrive at Scarlet’s house, even though he did get turned around once or twice. He left the keys in the ignition and ran up to the door, pushing it open with an unnecessary amount of force.
He felt twisted when he saw Scarlet on the couch, blood staining the fabric on the couch. He tried to speak around the choking feeling he had in his throat, but instead ever-so-carefully picked her up and took her out to the car, which he was going to drive to the hospital, only a few blocks away.
Ari sped out, trying to keep calm all the while. “What the fuck, Scarlet. What the fuck!” He cursed, scared to the point of being angry.

In the background of what seemed to be a high pitch screech continuously in her head, she swore she felt someone pick her up. She also swore that she was placed into a car, and the sun shined into her face annoyingly. Her lids felt heavier then the biggest elephant, and they barely cracked open, her body heaving forward as she violently coughed up saliva filled blood into her hand.
Slumping back again, she realized that she was quite light headed, she was breathing very raggedly, and she happened to be in someones car that she hadn't been getting along with lately. Looking over at Ari with heavy lids, she wondered why he didn't just let her die. She was a useless bitch, a low piece of garbage. Groaning a bit, she roughly rubbed her eyes, her arms cracking the dried blood with their movement.
"I'm sorry." The words slipped out, and her eyes wavered a bit, threatening to close forever with her severe blood loss.
